This program aims to provide students with a comprehensive knowledge and understanding of the core technical, professional and ethical principles that underpin Biomedical Engineering, to produce graduates equipped with the theoretical knowledge and practical skills necessary for pursuing a successful professional career in the healthcare industry.
Objectives
- To produce graduates with the appropriate knowledge base, skills and competencies, which are required in Biomedical Engineering, research activities and in related fields.
- To provide the intended Biomedical Engineer with the analytical, anatomical, physiological, scientific and engineering principles to act as the foundation of professional biomedical engineering practice.
- To provide the intended Biomedical Engineer with the appropriate understanding of the commercial, ethical, legal and regulatory requirements that are specific to the Biomedical Engineering industry (and associated areas).
- To develop an in-depth understanding of the theory and principles embodied in Biomedical engineering and healthcare technologies.
- To provide an opportunity for in-depth research into specialist and novel areas of Biomedical Engineering.
Duration & Pattern of Course
The duration of the BSc in Biomedical Engineering Design is five (5) years divided into ten (10) semesters.

- Apply fundamental principles of engineering to Biomedical Engineering.
- Illustrate the solution of engineering problems in the light of technological, economic, safety, regulatory and ethical constraints within the biomedical engineering industry.
- Apply appropriate mathematical methods for modelling and analysing problems within biomedical engineering.
- Apply appropriate computer based methods to solve problems within a biomedical engineering context.
- Analyse problems and design solutions across a variety of engineering applications.
- Demonstrate the use of relevant test and measurement equipment relevant to biomedical engineering.
- Utilise industry standard computer packages across a variety of engineering applications.
- Prepare and interpret technical reports and technical drawings.
the Admission requirements are the following:
The candidate should pass at least seven subjects The high school certificate, (Mathematics , English Language, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and any other two subjects).
Candidates have to pass all Subjects that mentioned above, the pass Degree for subject is minimum ( D ) or over.
The candidate's Bsc certificate should be authenticated from the high education ministry.
your certificate should meets the requirements above and also should be authenticated from Higher Ministry of Education and Scientific Research.
